Our sweet baby Thomas is one now.
The transition is marked with baby steps into life as a toddler.
Thomas can do so much these days. He knows what a hug is, and sometimes he will give you one if you ask. He can pant when you say puppy. He drives cars around on the floor, making a better vroooooooom sound than I'll ever be able to. He can throw a ball, clap, wave, kiss, and say uh-oh.
With William, it was amazing to him do all the things we taught him. This time around, it's even more amazing to see the things he can do that we haven't taught him; the credit goes to William. And so, William also marked the day with birthday candles, in preparation for his big day next month when he leaves the toddler years and enters into "kid."
The kid years last for a while, and I'm thankful for that. We'll savor these last weeks with just a one and a two year old. But I'm not worried... I know Thomas can step up to the plate and fill us with just as much toddler happiness as we can handle. Happy Birthday, Thomas! We love you.
